About Me

Sarah standing in a field in a shirt that says "THIS QUEER PASTOR LOVES YOU," holding a Progress LGBT flag over her head. A labyrinth tattoo is visible on her left arm.

The labels I use are numerous,

Some are well worn like Daughter, Sister, Writer.

Some are have been around a while like

AnxiousLover of MountainsCreative Dabbler.

It is an honor to be Aunt to three niblings.

Another label was given to me when a community surrounded me in 2014 and said yes to my call - Ordained Disciples of Christ Minister.

Some are newer, words recently found for what I always have been - ADHD, Demisexual, Enneagram 6.

A couple have been there a while, held privately as I got used to them, until I got brave enough to share them with the world. Bisexual. Queer.

Labels help me talk about my unique experiences, the way I perceive the world, and find others who understand those peculiarities.

Some labels help me remember who I am beyond diagnostic codes, relationships, and human categories. Those I got tattooed to help me remember that I am Called, Beloved, Wise, and Brave.
